Keltom Roots was formed in 2019 by Brycen Hill in appreciation for all that has influenced his life.  The Keltom Roots name is portmanteau of Brycen's parents' names: Kelly and Tom (pronounced kel·tum).  Keltom Roots is now a family-run label by Brycen and his wife, Lauren.

Each label features an illustration of an organism in field guide-style that matches the characteristics and qualities of the vineyard & variety.  Our focus is making small-lot, single-vineyard wines that match the beauty of the natural world, with balance and purity.

Born and raised in Fauquier County, Virginia, Brycen Hill began his career in wine & viticulture in the Middleburg, Shenandoah Valley, and Monticello AVA's of Virginia.  Holding a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and a Master of Science degree in Plant Sciences (with a focus on Viticulture), natural sciences developed the early focus and framework for his career.  Brycen moved out to Sonoma County in 2017 immediately following the completion of his graduate work to begin working as a Viticulturist.  He met Lauren Kelly in 2018 while working together and the two were married in 2022.  Lauren and Brycen also grow flowers at their home in Sonoma County (Let'er Bloom Flower Farm).

Keltom Roots' philosophy and labels are inspired by our family's love of all things nature. Each Label features different illustrations of plants, animals, and fungi.
